30 years of changing the world
In 2026, the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) celebrates its 30th anniversary. Over the past three decades, the programme has supported more than 150,000 researchers at every stage of their careers, from doctoral candidates to postdoctoral researchers and research managers, and has counted 23 Nobel Prize laureates among its fellows, supervisors and project coordinators.
Since its inception, the MSCA has been driven by a simple yet powerful vision: advancing research excellence by investing in talented researchers and fostering international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral collaboration. It has become a cornerstone of European research and innovation, fostering groundbreaking discoveries, opening new fields of inquiry, and demonstrating how curiosity-driven research can shape a better future.
