Remarkable an MSCA project
Through collaboration and researcher exchange with project partners, MSCA supported us in developing concrete solutions for rural environmental monitoring, together with the infrastructure to support edge processing, data transfer, and AI-supported data analysis.
The developed solutions - which include tree dendrometers, data gathering with drones (UAVs), and wildlife monitoring - have been deployed in real-world environments and are already producing concrete insights.
Connecting Europe and Africa
The project was built on existing collaboration between European and African research partners, which helped shape and prepare the project over a few months.
From the start, business partners were actively involved, working directly with researchers to define priorities and support the first secondments. Their role focused on bringing practical input and use-case expertise, with a manageable time commitment, as the collaboration quickly moved into joint research and training activities.
PEPSA-MATE an MSCA project
PEPSA-MATE has been a strategic accelerator for our company, enabling us to transform advanced research on bio-based materials into market-oriented applications.
Through the project, we developed new material formulations, optimised our production processes, and generated results with strong patent potential, further strengthening our internal R&D capabilities.
From Chemistry to Commercial Patent
The collaboration consisted in connecting the company with academic partners to translate peptide–polysaccharide research into practical applications.
The initial phase was structured around secondments and reciprocal staff exchanges, enabling joint R&D activities and the integration of new material concepts
into development platforms.
Company involvement required a continuous but manageable effort and directly supported application-driven work, resulting in a patent application.
