MSCA Fellow of the Month: apply now!

Nominations are now open for the future editions of the MSCA Fellow of the Month initiative. Each month we feature a researcher in a dedicated story, highlighting their work, career path and impact.

The MSCA Fellow of the Month initiative celebrates the people behind MSCA-funded research and innovation projects.

The initiative highlights the diversity, excellence and impact of the MSCA community through dedicated stories published on the MSCA website and promoted across our communication channels. We are now inviting nominations for future editions.

Who can apply?

Nominations may be submitted by

fellows themselves
supervisors
colleagues
members of the wider MSCA community

To submit a nomination, please complete the online application form by 16 July 2026, 13.00, CEST.

Only fellows who did not feature already as a Fellow of the Month can apply. Fellows who have previously applied but were not selected can re-apply.

How fellows are selected

The European Commission will choose fellows based on criteria including

the quality and relevance of their research
its societal or policy impact
the geographic and thematic diversity of their projects

Their stories will highlight not only their research achievements, but also their career paths, international experiences, outreach activities and the broader impact of their work.

Bringing research closer to citizens

From health and climate research to digital technologies, social sciences and engineering, MSCA fellows are helping tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing Europe and the world.

The MSCA Fellow of the Month initiative helps bring these stories closer to citizens by showcasing the people behind the research and the contribution of their work to society.
