The European Commission and the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU are organising the upcoming MSCA Presidency conference, which will take place in Toledo, Spain, on 14-15 November 2023.

The conference will gather more than 150 participants, from researchers to policy makers, to reflect on how the MSCA promotes diverse research careers to tackle global challenges.

Specific sessions include discussions on

  • the contribution of science to policymaking

  • MSCA’s capacity to promote inclusion and diversity in science

Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the main features of the MSCA programme, in view of the next work programme.

The MSCA Awards Science-Policy Pitch Competition will take place during the Presidency conference.

Through three-minute pitches, 15 MSCA fellows and alumni will have the chance to present their research or projects bringing science closer to policy-making in front of a high-calibre jury and the audience.

The jury will select a winner in each of the following categories

  • contribution to wider EU policy priorities
  • exposure to policymaking
  • facilitating evidence-based policy making

The audience will also be able to vote and award their favourite project.
