The Italian Ministry of University and Research has created a new scheme for MSCA researchers funded by Postdoctoral Fellowships under Horizon Europe or Individual Fellowships under Horizon 2020.

The Ministry has published full details and eligibility conditions in Italian and English on a dedicated website.

The initiative will support 200 young researchers with €60 million to put in place outstanding projects in Italian research organisations after their MSCA fellowships, for up to 3 years.

The scheme is part of the country’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Eligibility criteria

Individual applicants must be winners of Postdoctoral Fellowships and Individual Fellowships who have completed their projects in the last 12 months before the deadline for applications.

Project proposals must be complementary and consequential to the project funded by their MSCA grant.

The projects must be submitted by an eligible beneficiary organisation, including:

  • State and non-State universities and university institutions
  • public research bodies with operational headquarters in Italy

The deadline to submit proposals is 11 October 2022 at 12:00 PM (Rome time).
