MSCA COFUND: €100 million in grants awarded
The European Commission has announced the recipients of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) COFUND grants.
Organisations in 11 EU Member States and three Associated Countries will share €100 million of research grants. Nineteen doctoral and 24 post-doctoral programmes of outstanding quality will receive long-term co-funding support from the European Union.
The winning programmes will foster the high-quality training, supervision and career development of nearly 1,200 excellent scientists carrying out research in a wide range of disciplines, from health and computer science, advanced manufacturing and energy, to rural development and prehistory.
Talented Researchers
Most MSCA COFUND grant support has been awarded to organisations in France, Spain and Ireland, while many important projects are led by European regions aiming to boost their competitiveness by attracting and retaining talented researchers.
The MSCA COFUND action supports these regional, national and international research programmes through co-funding. With the action’s highest-ever budget, this call is the final one under Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.

Under its successor, Horizon Europe, the €95.5 billion research and innovation programme, MSCA will continue to support regional, national and international programmes through the MSCA COFUND action.
