MSCA Seal of Excellence recieved by researchers

Calls for proposals under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions are extremely competitive. The budget allocated for the 2018 call allowed a grant award to just 1,351 researchers out of a total of 9,830 applicants.
The Seal of Excellence has been designed to support MSCA applicants whose proposals scored 85% or more, but could not be funded due under the current budget. Signed by Commissioner Tibor Navracsics, the Seal of Excellence highlights the value of these proposals. In this way, alternative funding bodies can take advantage of the Horizon 2020 evaluation process.
With this prestigious endorsement, this cohort of researchers should be able to more easily acquire alternative funding for their project from regional, national or institutional sources.
