Registrations are open for the #EUvsVirus Pan-European Hackathon

The European Commission, in close collaboration with EU member states, will host a Pan-European hackathon under the patronage of Mariya Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.

This online event will connect civil society, innovators, partners and investors across Europe to work together in developing innovative solutions for coronavirus-related challenges.

The event will take place from 24-26 April 2020. The hackathon will focus on 6 challenge domains, set to directly confront the implications of COVID-19:

  1. Health and Life
  2.  Business Continuity
  3. Social and Political Cohesion
  4. Remote Working & Education
  5. Digital Finance
  6. Others

Each of these categories will be further organised into sub-challenges and critical issues. Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellows and alumni can participate as members of hackathon teams, as well as mentors for some of these teams.

Applications can be sent through the hackathon’s website.
