School teachers and staff members planning to attend with their pupils are encouraged to register as early as possible. We are currently booked out but it is common for us to receive some cancellations approximately a month before the event.

Make sure to sign up to our newsletter to be among the first to find out once new slots become available.

Language of the event

Science is Wonderful! is organised in French, Dutch and English.

While some research teams are multilingual, others may not be. After all, they are traveling from across the world to meet you!

To make sure you can fully engage with every team and learn more about their work, 30 interpreters will be there to help: they will wear bright orange t-shirts and are happy to jump in when needed.

Cannot spot one in your moment of need? Maybe a pupil or teacher in your group wants to save the day by helping to translate. No? No worries, you can always return to the booth later when an interpreter is available.

While booths operate in multiple languages, science shows are presented in only one language, which will be clearly indicated in the programme. While we strive to offer you with a diverse range of options, you might not always find a match.

If that is the case, don’t worry: our booths are also great!

Meals and picnic

Science is Wonderful! is an inclusive event. We want science to be wonderful for everyone.

Are you working at a school with disadvantages children?

They you can request a free lunch for your group. You can make this request during registration, but please note that availability is limited. If you have indicated that you would like lunch for your class, our team will contact you soon to confirm availability and discuss the next steps.

This service is designed to ensure the event remains accessible for everyone, so we kindly ask you to request it only if necessary.

Whether you are bringing a packed lunch or whether you booked free sandwiches, the picnic area on the second floor is open to everyone. Here you can find a water station and fresh fruit.

Additionally, the teachers’ lounge is located just in front of the picnic area to give teachers a chance to have a coffee in peace.

Additional water fountains and fruit stations will be accessible throughout the science fair.
